The DUAA Scholarship Program is one of the Association's most impactful initiatives, reflecting its long-standing commitment to educational excellence, student welfare, and social responsibility.
Over the years, DUAA has continuously expanded its scholarship and financial assistance activities through donations, alumni contributions, trust funds, and collaborative initiatives — focusing on meritorious students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds while recognising leadership, dedication, and social commitment.
Purpose of the Scholarship Program
Created to provide meaningful support to students who demonstrate academic potential but face financial limitations. The Association believes that investing in students is an investment in the future of the nation — Dhaka University has historically produced scholars, leaders, researchers, and professionals who have shaped society.

Merit-Based and Welfare-Oriented
The program follows a merit-cum-need-based approach. While academic performance remains an important criterion, the Association equally values perseverance, character, and social contribution.
Scholarships span multiple departments and institutes of Dhaka University — ensuring inclusivity across humanities, sciences, business studies, social sciences, law, and the arts. DUAA aims to create equal opportunities for students regardless of their academic background or socioeconomic condition.
Expansion of Scholarship Activities
Over time, DUAA has significantly increased the scale of its scholarship operations through alumni donations, dedicated trust funds, and partnerships with leading institutions.
700+ Students Supported
In a single initiative, DUAA awarded scholarships to approximately 700 students from different academic years of Dhaka University.
Tk 100 Crore Scholarship Fund
Plans announced to establish a Tk 100 crore fund to support thousands of underprivileged students with monthly financial assistance.
EBL-DUAA Inspiration Scholarship
Collaborative programs with corporate partners recognising academically outstanding students from numerous departments.
